Is It Possible That Lou Lamoriello Is An Undercover Agent?

The John Tavares sweepstakes are finally starting to come to an end. He’s heard the pitches from all the potential teams. Now he’s leaving LA and heading home to weigh out all of his options. And by home, I mean he’s going to Toronto.

Now with how crazy and blown out this entire ordeal has become, I’m starting to wonder if maybe this has been orchestrated from the very beginning. I’m starting to wonder if there is a giant puppet master behind this whole thing. And could it be Lou Lamoriello who is pulling the strings? Only he’s not in this position right now to keep John Tavares on Long Island, but he’s actually been out to get him to sign with Toronto since the jump.

Think about it. Lou Lamoriello spent the last 3 seasons as the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs. After he was essentially fired from his position back in April of this year, the Leafs replaced Lightning Lou with this guy. Kyle Dubas.

Yeah fucking right. That’s a fake ass general manager if I’ve ever seen one. Kyle Dubas looks more like your neighborhood paper boy than a general manager in the National Hockey League. Right off the bat, you have to imagine that something is up here if the Toronto Maple Leafs replace Lou Lamoriello with Beaver Cleaver over here. Is Kyle Dubas just a front? Is he only there to appear as the Toronto Maple Leafs’ general manager while Lou Lamoriello is actually still in charge over there?

Now I know what you’re thinking to yourself right now. “Uhhhh hey, Jordie. The Islanders have actually been having a great offseason so far, you dumbass. If Lamoriello was sent to destroy the Islanders, why did he have such a strong draft?” And the answer to that is pretty simple. Lou Lamoriello was sent to the Islanders to get John Tavares to Toronto. He can’t go in there and just start blowing the whole thing up right away. It would be too obvious. So sure, he had a great draft but that’s only because he needed to throw everybody off the scent.

And how about essentially firing Garth Snow and Doug Weight as his first two orders of business once he got to Brooklyn? What was that all about? Easy. They were both in a position of power and they both knew too much. He had to get them out of there as soon as possible because they were a threat to his mission. Did it end making making a bunch of Islanders fans relieved in the process? I’m sure it did. But the objective there was to not get caught and they were definitely in the way.

Another thing to look at is the Islanders bringing in Mike Babcock’s son to mini camp this week.

What is the significance of this? Well Lou Lamoriello isn’t an idiot. He knows that if anybody decides that they want to check his phone records and they see a call going from him to Mike Babcock at any point over the next few days, something very fishy would be going on there. He knows they’d be able to trace that back to blow the lid off this entire operation. So what he does is he brings in Mike Babcock’s son and little Mikey Babs pretty much works as a carrier pigeon now delivering messages back-and-forth between Lou and Babcock. If they check the son’s phone records, what are they going to say? That he called his dad on June 30th to say he loves him? Unfortunately there’s nothing illegal about that.

All I’m saying is that there’s a chance that John Tavares becomes a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday. And if that happens, I think it was part of the master plan for years at this point. Isn’t kind of convenient how Lamoriello just so happened to take over right before one of the biggest names hit the unrestricted market? Open your eyes, people.
