In Case You Missed It, Auston Matthews Is A Total Freak

Sneaky little release, using Davidson to hide his shot. And that, boys and girls, is how you make yourself a gosh darn highlight reel. Goal by Auston Matthews assisted by Auston Matthews and Auston Matthews. Out there playing like he’s a ringer on a beer league squad putting everybody else on the ice to shame. Only thing this isn’t beer league, it’s the National Hockey League (maybe you’ve heard of it before). It shouldn’t look this easy. 20-years-old looking like a ringer in the NHL. And then he goes on to cap off the night by scoring the overtime game winner. Who knew all it would take to bring the Maple Leafs back from the dead was a good ol’ American boy from Arizona.
P.S. – Flyers put up a nice, casual 8-spot on the Caps last night. Not a big deal or anything. I’m sure Nate will have something on his guys getting toyed around out there later. But for now here are a few highlights.
Might want to throw a whole roll of clear on those ankles for next game.
At least Ovechkin tried for once in his own zone. I’ll give him credit for that.
