BREAKING: Carter Hart Records His First Career Shutout. It's Over For You Bitches

First career shutout and the kid barely cracks a smile. Speaking of “kid”…

Youngest goalie to ever record a shutout in Flyers history. I honestly can’t put into words right now how important this is to the future of this franchise. To know that this team, after decades of pure shit, finally has a legitimate #1 starting goaltender. And not only do they have a legitimate goalie between the pipes, but he’s only 21-years-old. Carter Hart needs to be protected at all costs.

I’ll have more on the rest of the game tomorrow but this is just such a massive moment for this organization. He looked pretty solid in net against Chicago to start the season. He didn’t look like he was the greatest goalie of all time but he did everything he needed to do to make sure the Flyers never had to play from behind in that game. And then tonight? Well tonight he was just on a completely different level than anything I can remember from a Flyers goalie.

4-0 win for the good guys. 3 goals in the 3rd period. Devils looked like a complete joke. Life is good right now. In fact, life is great. Ben Simmons hits a 3 last night. Carter Hart gets a shutout tonight. No rules in Philly for the foreseeable future. See you beautiful bastards in the morning for the recap blog.
