Today In Mets News: The St. Lucie Mets 4th Of July Fireworks Show Caused A Humongous Fire Outside Of Their Stadium Tonight

Just when you thought the Mets franchise could take the night off from fucking up on our nation’s birthday thanks to Major League Baseball randomly giving them the day off despite baseball being the national pastime and all, the St. Lucie Mets went out and lived up to the Mets name by celebrating their country’s independence by blowing up a small part of it!

It’s not quite Citi Field literally lighting on fire like it did last year or the bullpen proverbial lighting the hopes of the season on fire. But it’s close. Especially when you add in that this wasn’t even the first time a St. Lucie Mets fireworks show caused a goddamn fire.

The Mets are always going to Mets, no matter if they are in New York, St. Lucie, or Syracuse. If you have the chance to jump out of this franchise that is on fire every time we turn around, do it now. And if it’s too late, make sure you never let your kids enter this burning building of a franchise or else the team will burn their body, burn their soul, or God forbid both.

You simply cannot make this shit up.
