Remember The High School Football Coach Who Got Suspended For "Running Up The Score" On An Undefeated Team? Well His Team Took A 36-0 Lead Tonight Then Punted On First Down And Kneeled Multiple Times In The Red Zone Instead Of Trying To Score

Previously on Plainedge vs. Board Of Pussification:

Fox 5- Plainedge High School head football coach Rob Shaver has been suspended for one game after allegedly failing to follow a lopsided scores policy. It mandates that coaches of football teams in Nassau County that win by more than 42 points explain what they did to prevent running up the score in an unsportsmanlike fashion.

The game in question was played last Friday night between Plainedge and South Side, both 6–0 teams. The outcome was a 61–13 victory for Plainedge. Pat Pizzarelli, the executive director of Section VIII Athletics, the association that oversees middle and high school sports in the county, said the rule was voted on three years ago as a way to keep scores closer and not embarrass the other team. "Their first team played in the fourth quarter… and I think that's what swayed the committee," Pizzarelli said. "Is it worth beating a team 70–0? Isn't 30 or 40 points enough?"

Saturday Night:

I didn't know it was possible, but it appears Plainedge High School is as good at trolling as they are at football, which is pretty impressive because they appear to be fucking AWESOME at football. I'm sure there were outraged people screaming at clouds that Plainedge took the sanctity of athletics and sportsmanship then wiped their asses with that sanctity by punting on first down. But when you have a committee that will suspend a coach for beating another undefeated team by more than 42 points, you are basically turning The Sport of Football into The Game Where Nobody Gets Their Feelings Hurt Of Football.

What's the committee going to do, anyway? Call in the interim coach filling in for the coach they suspended and suspend him for punting on first down when they were up 36-0 instead of trying to score a touchdown, go up 43-0, and then win by more than 42 resulting in that interim coach being called in front of the committee anyway? Because that's probably exactly what would have happened anyway considering the final was 36-0.

Plainedge decided to slide instead of score when they were up 36-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter

then decided to kneel instead of try for a touchdown the first play of the 4th quarter because again, that would have been a 43 point lead, which is Threat Level Midnight to the Big Wigs of Nassau County athletics.

Followed by a 3 and Out for Lynbrook before the refs called the game after seven plays in the fourth quarter. Seven.

Lets go to the Nassau County Sportsmanship Committee to see how they feel about Saturday's result:

I know the bet the kids at Lynbrook and South Side just got run over by a runaway train the old fashioned way instead of having some committee make their opponent take their foot off the gas because that's what competition is all about. I know you can say Plainedge is turning high school football into a big joke one blowout at a time. But I would argue the pussification committee made it a joke the moment they created this 42 point rule and Plainedge decided to turn the committee into the punchline.

P.S. I don't even know what this means, but it made me LOL and may be the meanest thing ever tweeted on Twitter.
