Friday Afternoon Scandal and Smut
I forget exactly why I posted a pic earlier this week of former Playmate of the Year and proud Canadian, Jayde Nicole.
But I’ll do it again…
RESPECT
When I gave Jayde’s resumé, I made sure to point out she wasn’t the first PMOY to hail from “America’s Hat”. That distinction goes to Jayde’s fellow Canadian, Dorothy Stratten whose life, unfortunately, ended tragically.
I say “unfortunately“, but I mean that only for her. From the perspective of a blogger whose love for writing about scandals and tragedies is only eclipsed by his penchant for posting photos of classic beauties, her story is quite fortunate.
As a matter of fact, I know of at least 2 other Playmates who met either untimely or unorthodox ends, so I am gonna blog the shit out of their stories also. AND I am gonna try to include as much cheesecake as my server can handle.
And to kill even more birds with one stone… Since Halloween is right around the corner, I will make these 3 sexy/dead broads collectively this week’s morbid Dead Asses From The Past.
So… First up: the aforementioned Dorothy Stratten.
Dorothy Ruth Hoogstraten was a sexy 17-year-old Canadian when she sent in nude photos to Playboy magazine with the help of a 26-year-old club promoter and pimp named Paul Snider… Paul is shown below, looking very “Canadian pimpish.”
Within 2 years, she shortened her name to Stratten, and moved to LA with said pimp/now husband and began working as a bunny at the Century City Playboy Club.
After finding success in television and filming her first (and only) major film titled They All Laughed, Stratten began an affair with the movie’s director, Peter Bogdanovich. Not soon after, Stratten began the divorce process with Snider.
Snider decided divorce wasn’t for him, so on August 14, 1980, when the two arranged to meet at Snider’s house to talk about their separation, he shot Stratten in the face, tied her lifeless body to a “love contraption,” had sex with her corpse for a half hour or so… And then he blew out his own brains.

Snider’s roommates discovered both of them later that day lying nude on the floor with ants swarming their bodies. As I was looking for photos of Dorothy to post, I came across a picture of the actual crime scene, and it was as terrible as you may think… I will not post it here and ruin your mood.
Stratten was only 20 at the time of the murder, and two movies (Death of a Centerfold and Star 80) were later made about her tragic life and death.
Eight years after Stratten’s murder, that same director/boyfriend Bogdanovich married 20-year-old Louise Stratten, Dorothy’s younger sister. He was 49 when they married, and I am not sure if you will believe this, but the couple eventually divorced.
The official reason for the divorce was cited as “irreconcilable differences”, but people close to both Stratten and Bogdanovich said the marriage probably ended because Peter married a girl nearly 30 years younger than him.
Who he met at a funeral when she was only 12-years-old.
And that funeral was for Louise’s sister, a Playmate Peter used to fuck.
Who was brutally murdered and then posthumously raped by her jilted ex-husband/former pimp.
You know… That old chestnut.
I’ll attach an unwatchable 12-minute video of Playboy’s 1979 Roller Disco & Pajama Party that has multiple Stratten appearances.
As I mentioned above, it’s nearly impossible to watch all the way through, but here’s an interesting tidbit about that party- Hef hired the Village People to be the musical guests for the bash. And even though the 5 members of the VP stayed at the mansion all weekend, not ONE of them made a SINGLE sexual advance towards ANY of the playmates… Not even the guy in leather with the dreamy eyes and rugged chest hair.
Talk about true professionals!… Amiright?
Oh, and presumably to keep costs low, even though the Village People have 5 members the boys requested to all stay in the same room, and for that room to contain only one twin bed.
Talk about true economical professionals!
Up next: Yvette Vickers
Yvette Vickers, a former Playboy playmate and B-movie actress who you might know from such cult classics as The Giant Leeches and Attack of the 50 Foot Woman passed away at the ripe old age of either 81 or 82. The exact date of her death is unknown, but forensic scientists concluded that she may have been dead for as long as a year before her ripe-old body was discovered.
On May 2, 2011, neighbor Susan Savage said she went to check on Vickers after she noticed the old bag’s mailbox gathering old letters and cobwebs. After entering her home, Savage made her way upstairs to a room that had a small space heater on and, sure enough, found Vickers’ body, dry and shriveled up… Essentially mummified.
So Vickers’ story is a cautionary tale of how you can go from being the reason someone masturbates to a forgotten mummy on the bedroom floor.

And finally: Jasmine Fiore
Jasmine is the least attractive woman on this blog and was never an official “Playmate“. However, she appeared in Playboy videos and was a hostess at some of their live events… Which is enough for me to squeeze her in here.
Plus she had a load-bearing rack that was extraordinary even after she passed away… I’ll explain.
Long story made short: Jasmine was a struggling model/actress who married an abusive real estate developer/reality TV star.
Her body was discovered, but not identified, in August of 2009 badly beaten and crushed inside a suitcase in a dumpster in an alley in Buena Park, California. According to Buena Park police, Fiore’s teeth and fingers had been removed before her naked body was stuffed into the suitcase. She had also been strangled.
The mutilation was an attempt to impede identification, but her killer did not remove or destroy all of poor Jasmine’s identifiable assets as the coroner was able to positively finger her identity from the serial numbers on her intact breast implants.
Fiore’s husband was the number 1 suspect, especially after he snuck over the Canadian border the day after her body was found. And after he learned that her body was properly identified, he hung himself from the closet rod in a Canadian motel room he was holed up in.
The moral of Jasmine’s story- Fake tits have serial numbers, I guess.
So that’s it. Three new members of the AFTP Club… Gone, but not forgotten.

And, of course, Marilyn Monroe was obviously killed by JFK’s family.
