David Wright Is Still Alive And Moving Up To Triple-A To Continue His Rehab In Las Vegas

I’ll admit that I have been waiting for the other shoe to drop since David started this rehab stint like it has pretty much every time he’s tried to come back. Usually we get a video of Wright taking BP, news that he is in Port St. Lucie followed by another setback and another cuncelled saeson. But so far Wright has stayed healthy while slowly getting back into the swing of things and could actually make it back to The Show. If the Mets as a team cannot provide us with meaningful September games, at least we can watch David Wright play against teams that have meaningful September games at the end of this disaster of a season. If you hate David Wright, you are just an asshole, plain and simple.

Now originally I said that I wanted Wright to make it back to the Bigs simply to fuck the Wilpons out of some cash that they are pocketing.

But if Wright comes back, the Wilpons will make some of that money back from fans that would have no interest in going to Citi Field next month venturing in to see Wright play. And I’m fine with that. I may hate the fuck out of the Wilpons for what they have done to this franchise and fanbase, but seeing David Wright happy again would ease the pain of a lot of Mets fans souls on some Field of Dreams shit. Wright was on the fast track to the Hall of Fame before injuries took their toll and his team tried to erase every power alley he had in the old stadium when they upgraded to Citi Field. He is the epitome of what it’s like to be a Mets fan. Limitless hope coming crashing down to a depressing reality. So please stay in one piece out in Sin City, David so the fans can see you in Flushing at least one more time.

P.S. It’s a damn shame that Tim Tebow is out for the season because the thought of Baseball’s Altar Boy and Baseball’s Boy Next Door both playing for a Triple-A baseball team in Vegas and all the debauchery that likely comes with it would have been hilarious.
