'The Bachelor' Ran An A++++ Tribute Video To Chris Harrison Last Night

So last night was the season premiere of The Bachelor. The bachelor this season is Colton the Virgin who we originally encountered on Becca’s season of The Bachelorette and then again on Bachelor In Paradise. I’m not gonna say last night was predictable but girls got out of limos, made jokes about Colton’s virginity, girls complained about not getting enough time with Colton, a villain emerged in the form of Catherine, blah blah blah. It sounds like I’m criticizing the show but I’m really not. The predictable beats of every season is what keeps me coming back year after year. I love it.

But then something unexpected happened. The show ran a “contest” that asked fans to go to The Bachelor’s Instagram and like a picture. If the picture got a measly 10,000 likes then they would show a mysterious video. The Instagram got 152,000 Likes, Chris Harrison’s mom appeared on the screen and introduced a tribute video for her son. The video was an A++++++. Chris Harrison is truly the GOAT. He plays his role on The Bachelor/Bachelorette perfectly and the shows wouldn’t be nearly as good without him. The video was so good that it made Chris Harrison cry which made everyone else cry.

I will say, there was a small part of during the tribute video that made me think Chris Harrison was going to retire. I mean why else would they run a tribute video like that? It literally came outta nowhere. There was no special reason for them to do that last night. So I was expecting them to cut back to Harrison after the video and to announce that this was his last season at the helm and I was ready to throw a temper tantrum. Luckily, he didn’t do that. He just cried and thanked everybody. Phew. Please never ever leave us, Chris.
