President Trump Laughs & Jokes About Ratings With Sean Hannity During The Lowering Of The Flag On A Military Base

Donnie, Donnie, Donnie. You cant go have weeks-long rants on twitter about respecting the flag and not kneeling during the national anthem and then, as President, stay seating during the retreat while joking that it’s about you, Sean Hannity, or the ratings. Just cant.

You can see in the video that as people start to realize, “Oh fuck. That’s the retreat” they start to stand.

If you weren’t a military member, you might not know what the retreat really is. And that’s ok.

The retreat signals the end of the day. Commanders at different commands across the country instruct their personnel in charge of ceremonies to sound the retreat at a specific time. The usual time is around sunset. At the end of every Zero Blog Thirty show, I say “Sound the Retreat” to say that’s the end of the show.

I dont think that President Trump was meaning to be disrespectful to the flag or anything like that. I think it was probably a little bit of ignorance. In fact, I hope it was. Ignorance is really the best excuse here. Otherwise, it’s gonna be really difficult to explain away. You cant rant and rave about the respect that the flag and the troops deserve and then stay seated during the retreat on a military installation. Just cant. Even ole Robin Williams knew what to do and he wasnt President FYI.

The super die-hard “Trump Can Do No Wrong” bubbas will cling to the fact that he was under cover. “If you see the roof there, he’s technically inside,” they’ll say. A private cant get away with that shit, and neither should the President. Simple as that.
