(source)–According to the report, a deputy tried to pull over a white Hyundai during a traffic stop when the car sped away. An hour later, a man called 911 to let them know he was the driver.
“I want to know…I like ran from a cop 30 minutes to an hour ago. I was the guy…that…over there off of Kings Estates. Like what do we pay you guys for…like I’ve driven past four cops,” the caller said. “I mean he turned his lights on me and got behind me and as he was walking up to my car I did a donut around him and left him.”
Deputies also told Jones they were only able to arrest him because he called 911.
“That’s funny. So I told on myself?” Jones said, according to the arrest report. “No cop can catch me in my Hyundai Elantra, that thing is fast.”
Jail records showed Jones remained behind bars without bond Wednesday. Attorney information wasn’t available.
And….I think I have found my favorite criminal of all time. This kid is my favorite. Step 1) fight for your rights. You’re never going to win in traffic court. We’ve all been there. I tried to fight a ticket one time and the judge basically yelled at me for 5 minutes straight before saying guilty. It was awful and a waste of a day. Skip that shit and just go fugitive on his ass. Step 2) Brag. The sweetest part about winning is rubbing it in people’s faces. I’ve always said that. Like, yeah, I hate Boston sports and Pres right now and everyone on the internet, but if the Hawks were still awesome I would be just as obnoxious

The fact that this kid is able to see the objective hilarity in the situation means he’s a good dude. This is a kid I can be friends with. Sign me up for a saturday flying around Florida(of course it’s Florida) in that bad ass Hyundai Elantra. That thing is fast.
