Magic Johnson Released His Top 60 Movies In Honor Of His 60th Birthday And It's Absolutely AMAZING

I almost died earlier today when I heard Pat say on barstool Breakfast that the Godfather sucks. I can’t remember the last time I was that irrationally upset without a Chicago sports team blowing some big moment. I was completely off the rails. My wife offered to tase me just to calm me down but it wasn’t charged enough to give me the full wattage. So we passed on the controlled shock therapy and I blogged it instead. Turns out several people were as alarmed as me and I was able to move on with my day knowing that Godfather was indeed not more entertaining than Transformers. What a relief:

Anyways fast forward to about 5 minutes ago when I saw this tweet.

I practically died again. Magic Johnson is honoring his 60th birthday with his top 60 films ever made and guess what’s number 1?

You fucking guessed it boys and girls.

The Godfather.

Probably even more impressive though is Magic straight up alphabetized the 60 movies in his DVD collection and then copied it into Microsoft Word. Some clicking around to get the formatting right but after awhile he nailed it. And then instead of re-ranking them in any sensible order, he just leaves it alphabetized to say No One Is Better Than Anyone On This List.
