Controversy Is Brewing Over Tom Ricketts' Dads' Racist Emails

Pretty wild story out there now about Tom Ricketts’ dad sending EXTREMELY racist emails. I don’t think that’s particularly open to interpretation. But then again your next question is why does it really matter if he doesn’t have anything to do with the team? Like what responsibility do the Cubs have to keep the Owners’ dad in check? This is weird territory that I can’t readily compare anything to in my experience watching sports. Asking one Billionaire to answer for the actions of another is a wild plot much less father-son much less when the Chicago Cubs are at the center of it.

Personally I don’t know Joe Ricketts but based on the emails he sure seems like an old guy with a lot of money from Nebraska. Hm.

More on this tomorrow, hopefully in a lighter tone. I’m trying to think of all the shit my dad is going to make me apologize for in 30 years.
