#3 Double Doink

It's January 2019 and we just went full time behind the Bears absolutely steam rolling their way through the NFC North. It's been an epic 5 months since Red Line got picked up by Barstool in September 2018. We thought we'd be good but holy shit. 12-4 and a home playoff game was outrageous. We rode the momentum right out of corporate America and directly into Barstool Chicago 2.0. From here you could reasonably argue that we cursed the city and I wouldn't have much to say otherwise. The proof is in the pudding starting with Cody Parkey double doinking from 43 yards to lose to the Eagles. Right up there with Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS with respect to ripping my soul from my body as captured in my brief yet spirited recap video you might have seen:

It was good for us for no other reason than millions of people were instantly made aware that there's a barstool Chicago and one of the guys there (me) is an absolute raging psychopath WHEN IT COMES TO HIS SPORTS TEAMS.

I'd hate to spill milk in that guy's house

Go fuck yourself. Tough times build tough people and we're all stronger because of Cody Parkey's bullshit. That little cocksucker.

ANYWAYS

It was good for me because a lot of this job is being yourself and that video is me to a tee. Yelling and screaming irrationally about something I love but can't control. Scaring strangers. Stirring some shit up. Taking things wayyyyyyy too seriously and then sharing it on twitter via video. That was a couple days on the job and now after year one is in the books I think we can all agree that's way less surprising now than it was then. Confidently and sincerely, building that bridge with you guys over the last 365 has been a tremendous privilege. Thanks for the support.
