Tommy Heinsohn Returning For Next Season Is The Best News In The History Of News

Washington Wizards Vs. Boston Celtics At TD Garden

Big news here for Celtics fans. In my humble opinion the Celts have the best of the best when it comes to their team broadcasters/talent. Mike and Tommy are legends who have really been the only voice I’ve ever known on TV, Sean Grande and Max are the radio equivalent, and everyone on NBC Sports Boston make that one of the best pre and postgame shows on TV. Shoutout Max Lederman too for how he’s given Weird Celtics Twitter a big time platform. You may recognize his work not just with his nightly segment at the end of the postgame show but also every hilarious caption under a players name when they’re being interviewed. We see shows like The Jump try and copy this when they list the resume’s of their guests but let’s not forget who started the trend.

The most important news here though is Tommy. A sneaky concerning part of last year’s debacle was any potential health implications it might have had on Tommy. It was almost like nobody considered their dogshit play might actually be what finally takes Tommy out. I found that to be extremely disrespectful. He missed a little time last year with some health issues and I know every non Celtics fan think he’s nothing but a homer but I’m sorry if you can’t enjoy what this man does then you have a gigantic dump in your pants. He’s the greatest to ever do it and has blessed us with some absolute GEMS over the years

So to hear that he’s coming back for his THIRTY SEVENTH season at age 84 is the best news I’ve heard all day. I don’t care if he only does home games at this point, I just need Tommy to still be in my life. I need him to experience the Good Chemistry Celtics after the hell we put him through last year. I may be in the minority because I don’t hate when Scal fills in, I actually enjoy him, but now that we know Mike and Tommy are locked in I am even more pumped for October.

Long live Mike and Tommy. I hope they never stop.
