Teabag City! The Blues Win Their 10TH STRAIGHT NHL Hockey Game - UPDATE: It Was A Shutout

Holy Jumpin! I can’t get enough of this team. The hapless, floundering Minnesota Wild never stood a chance. Tarasenko, O’Reilly, Binnington, and an active/skilled blueline once again just absolutely imposing their will on the game. Its everything Blues fans have wanted. I am typing this blog with 9 minutes left in the second period. Brayden Schenn just walked in and made it 4-0. This team is a complete MACHINE!!!

The Blues powerplay looks sexy, which hasn’t necessarily been the case during this winning streak. The Blues have also won 21 of 28 faceoffs so far (at the 7 minute mark of the second period which is when this game ended) to the credit of Ryan O’Reilly who has won 10 of them.

I feel awful for St. Louis native Luke Kunin who had to be on the other side of this tilt. We should just be able to commandeer him into the Blues roster like some sort of prima nocta situation.

P.S. Doc holding up a Meramac Sharks jersey on National TV has to be up there for most surreal moments in recorded history.

UPDATE: Not only did this blog NOT jinx them, Jordan Binnington finished the game with a Shutout to increase the streak to 187 minutes without giving up a goal. They are now tied for the franchise record win streak set in 2002. Breaking the record will be no small task as the Toronto Maple Leafs come to town on Tuesday, but I will not doubt this team anymore.
