Sidney Crosby joined Spittin’ Chiclets this week and he did not disappoint. Sid touched on everything from playing with Whit and Biz, to living with Mario, and even where he would of played college puck.

As a big college hockey guy, I have always wondered where a guy like Sidney Crosby would have went to school. As a Boston guy, obviously my first instinct is BC or BU, but Sid had his sights set away from the east coast and to Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Sid wanted to play his college hockey for the University of North Dakota and to be honest, how can you blame him? First off, he would have had the opportunity to play alongside Zach Parise and Drew Stafford his freshman year and Travis Zajac is sophomore year. And if Sid stuck around for his Junior year at UND? Here are some of the names he would have played with: Jonathan Toews, T.J. Oshie, Travis Zajac and Drew Stafford. So essentially, the 05-06 North Dakota Fighting Sioux would have been the best college hockey team of all time. Add in the fact the best arena in all of college hockey (The Ralph) was just built and you begin to wonder why Sid chose the QMJHL over the NCAA.

Crosby was fantastic on this week’s podcast and he showed people a side of him never seen before. To listen to the full podcast, click here.
