Riley Howell, A Hero Who Died Stopping A Shooter At UNCC, Is Now Officially A Jedi Master In The Star Wars Universe

WFAE- A character named Ri-Lee Howell appears in the newly published "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker The Visual Dictionary." Jedi knights are the lightsaber-weilding warrior heroes of the Star Wars universe.

Howell, 21, was fatally wounded when he rushed a gunman who opened fire in a classroom April 30. Another student, Reid Parlier, was killed, and four others were wounded, but police said Howell's actions effectively stopped the shooter.

Oh boy. Hope you brought the tissues for this one. This is one of the most heart wrenching stories I've seen on the internet all year. I was bawling the second that Tik Tok started and in the fetal position by the end of it.

Riley Howell, a 21-year-old hero who was killed after tackling and effectively stopping a shooter at UNCC this year, was honored by the Lucasfilm Story Group with the release of 'The Rise of Skywalker', when a "re-imagining" of his name was added to the film's visual dictionary. Now, in official Star Wars canon, some of the Sacred Jedi Texts that were studied by Yoda, Luke, Rey, and likely most of the Jedi we know and love were written by Jedi Master and historian Ri-Lee Howell.

They made Riley, one of the biggest Star Wars fans out there, a historian who knew it all about the ways of the Jedi. What an amazing gesture for a man who deserved it more than anyone.
