LaMelo Ball Continues To Tear It Up In The NBL

2019 NBL Blitz

The more and more I see LaMelo Ball the more I’m buying into him as an intriguing prospect. Of course you see the highlights of him as a kid and then him destroying terrible competition in that fake BBL league or whatever, but after seeing what he did in his first few official NBL games

and then these highlights from today you have to admit he looks pretty damn good. He looks calm, his court vision appears to be just as good as Lonzo who is a tremendous passer, and while his form is still a little fucked up to me he clearly has shown to have legit range and touch. You can fix his form later if need be in my opinion. As a 6’8 PG he’s intriguing as hell and with a shit ton of NBA scouts in attendance today things are certainly off to a great start

Is there a chance he actually could end up being the best Ball brother? I don’t see why not. It’s obviously way too early to tell but it’s not all that crazy to think if he keeps playing like this he’s going to find himself being drafted high as shit next summer. I get that his family, mostly his Dad, is super annoying and you do wonder if that could impact his potential draft position, but from a strictly basketball standpoint he continues to show that you need to take him seriously. Remember the success of Ball in the NBL and where he ends up getting drafted could have a major impact on what we see other elite high school prospects do moving forward. That’s why this is so interesting to me.

Then there’s RJ Hampton who we also finally have highlights of

and something tells me he’s going to be just as much of a beast as well.
