I don’t know if it’s that these kids actually think they have a chance or the fact that the players show absolutely no mercy, but it just does it for me. I’ll never get tired of these videos. If I’m a Timberwolves fan what I see from KAT in that video has to be exciting because if you were to pick one major knock on him as a player it’s that he’s considered a little soft and plays terrible defense. Well that’s not what we saw in that video. We saw a player who is working on his defensive game and could be poised for a breakout year defensively. The Wolves are a little screwed considering almost every other team in the West got better, but maybe this All NBA caliber defense from KAT could get them in the conversation for an 8th seed.

You have to admit, we haven’t seen a commitment to defense or this type of timing from KAT at any point in his 4 year career. It sure looks like we have the exact opposite of an Andrew Wiggins situation where he got his extension and then stopped trying. KAT got his big time 5 year extension and is spending the summer working on his greatest weakness. I can’t wait until he demands a trade and eventually ends up on the Celts like the another former Timberwolves great big man. It’s only a matter of time.
