Jim Jefferies Gets Busted Editing The Shit Out Of An Interview And It's No Bueno

I don’t know this Avi dude from Adam, and he seems like a guy who has very different beliefs and views on the world than me, but boy did he get done dirty here. It’s not even so much the editing, while it’s bad it’s very widely known that that’s what these shows do. You sit down for an hour, they take answers and statements and pretend they’re responses to different questions, then they cut it down to a few minutes. I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying everyone knows that’s what happens so if you agree to an interview with them then that’s kinda on you. If you don’t want it to happen then demand a digital clock or something is put behind you so they can’t chop it up without ruining continuity.

The really fucked up part to me is taking an interview that was done months ago and pretending it’s all in response to a horrible terror attack. That is FUCKED. I can’t imagine what I’d do if someone took something I wrote in like 2011 and saying look what Feitelberg had to say after Sandy Hook, that’s wildly irresponsible.

You know what else is wild to me? What people will do for fame or notoriety these days. Like Avi straight up says he knew what their plan was, yet he went on the show anyway. Why don’t people just say, “No thank you you’re going to make me look like an asshole.” It’s been happening forever, from local news clips to Jay Leno street walking, where they go out for hours until they finally interview a crazy person. But I feel like it’s gotten worse recently and people are participating in full-length interviews rather than offering a quick opinion as they walk down the street. I was watching Abducted In Plain Sight and couldn’t BELIEVE those parents actually sat down to discuss this shit that clearly makes them look like an asshole. But people are dying to have a camera in front of them, even if they know the world will end up hating them for it.
