Holy Shitballs: Moto3 Racer Avoids Disaster With Incredible Jump

Screen Shot 2018-05-21 at 10.22.43 AM

Quick background on Jakub Kornfeil, the gent who pulled off this move: He’s a 25 year-old from the Czech Republic, and a rider for Peugeot Motorcycles in the Moto3 circuit.

(“Kate, hold up. Wtf is ‘Moto3′ and also, I feel like you’re a solid 5 with a giant bush who takes big shits.” – @cocknballzdickslam)

(Well, Mr. Cocknballzdickslam, it’s considered by many to be the most exciting racing for its competitiveness, compared to the low powered Moto2 and overpowered Moto GP. Moto3 racers ride 250cc 4 stroke bikes that can go over 150MPH. Also, yes, gotta keep the old gal toasty. Would rather not comment on my horrendously loud, ground-shaking shits at this time. Thank you.)

Some of Jakub Kornfeil’s career highlights:

2007: Czech Republic 125GP Championship

2009: Red Bull Rookies Cup Champion

2011: 12th overall 125cc MotoGP Championship

2016: 8th overall Moto3 Championship

2018: Holy shitballs, what a move at the French Grand Prix! This guy jumped his motorbike right over another one like it was nothin’. I mean, he only had a fraction of a second to do this. Goddamn. Unreal. The balls on this fella. I could barely get my Huffy Sport 2 inches off the ground on a good day, and this guy’s just flying his machine through the air like a kite. One time I tried to pop a wheelie on a hill & tore every ligament in my left leg going 3MPH. And this guy’s just jumping around at warp speed like he’s on a pogo stick. AND he still finished in 6th place. Wow. Just really something. Fuckin’ A.

According to ABC News:

Enea Bastiannini was placed fourth heading into the final corner of the penultimate lap when his bike slid out of control on the bend, sending the Italian off the tarmac and into the gravel.

Kornfeil was directly behind Bastiannini at the time and he rode directly into the path of the sliding bike, unable to shift his vehicle out of the way.

He rode over the top of Bastiannini’s bike before getting airborne as he performed a spectacular ‘bunny hop’-style jump to land on the gravel in an upright position before returning to the race course.

“The first thing I was thinking of was to open the gas and stand up on the pegs,” said Kornfeil, who eventually finished sixth.

“The landing was so heavy, my rear suspension went down to its maximum.”

Impressive move. Glad he was able to think so quickly on his feet & that no one was seriously injured. Bad things can happen when you take your rear suspension to the max.
