If You Could Combine Any Two NBA Rosters To Beat The Warriors, Who Are You Taking?

This tweet came out last night when the Warriors were just absolutely destroying the Rockets. Obviously I responded and then started thinking about it since because there are a lot of options here. However, to me and to most, there is one team you must have.

That’s the Cavs. Well, really it’s just having LeBron. He’s the one player that you absolutely need in order to beat the Warriors. Now for the second team there are a lot of options to go. I personally went with the Pelicans to pair LeBron up with Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday and Rajon Rondo. Those are three good defenders and Holiday/Rondo can chase around the Warriors guards while you have Davis protecting the rim. I was working under the assumption that you have to take the roster as is right now, so while you don’t get Cousins, you still get those other three. Some other team options would be the Celtics, Sixers and Rockets.

So with the roster of 15 between the Pelicans and Cavs I’d go:
LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Love, Jrue Holiday, Rajon Rondo, Nikola Mirotic, Kyle Korver, George Hill, Ian Clark, Darius Miller, JR Smith, Tristan Thompson, Chieck Diallo, Larry Nance Jr., Jeff Green.

So with that in mind, who are you taking to beat the Warriors in a 7-game series?
