Vlad Guerrero Jr. Continues To Smash Baseballs Into Orbit

I’m gonna have to side with KFC’s pal Jeff Passan here, it’s downright OUTRAGEOUS that the Blue Jays haven’t called up Vladdy Jr. yet. I realize he’s still only 19 and that major league pitching is a different animal than AA arms. But as of right now the Blue Jays are 22-25 with a -9 run differential, good for fourth place in the same division with the Red Sox and Yankees. Bringing up an inexperienced 19-year old isn’t about to derail some pennant chase for Toronto. All it’s going to do is sell jerseys and put asses in seats. If he struggles? Send him back down. I assume he has hundreds of options remaining right now since he’s NINETEEN. Calling him up now vs. calling him up in September is only robbing baseball fans the chance to watch one of the premier young sluggers in the world launch dingers into the bleachers repeatedly.

As for this particular home run itself, what an asshole this pitcher is huh? Bro, what exactly are you pointing at, Orion’s Belt?

That ball still hasn’t landed. Your outfielders exclusively ran towards their own dugout the second Jr. took the bat off his shoulder. Why even pitch to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in this spot to begin with? I’ll admit I’m not the most up-to-date on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats roster, but unless Barry Lamar Bonds Jr. was on deck maybe just walk Vlad here and try your luck with someone else.
