I'm Ready To Address Elon Musk Dating Grimes
Business Insider- Tesla CEO Elon Musk and the musical artist Grimes made their rumored relationship at least red-carpet official on Monday night when they stepped out at the Met Gala together. Some on social media pointed out the similarity between the choker necklace Grimes wore and the Tesla logo, speculating that the logo may have been the design inspiration. Us Weekly reports that the couple designed Grimes’ dress together over a dinner date and commissioned a team to create the futuristic ensemble. Musk wore a white tuxedo jacket and a collarless shirt.
So this happened at the Met Gala. Elon Musk and Grimes confirmed they’re dating by showing up together. I gotta tell ya, I don’t know who the fuck Grimes is. Like no idea. It’s rare that I just haven’t heard of somebody who is supposedly famous. It’s even rarer to not hear of someone who goes by one name. Usually if you go by one name, you’re SUPER famous. Madonna. Cher. Prince. Seal. Bono. The list goes on and on. Grimes? Never heard of her. I thought maybe I’d just lost touch with the world so I asked around to a couple of the younger people in the office (Fran and Ria) and they don’t know who she is either. Who the hell is this Grimes person?
So I did a little bit of research on Grimes and apparently she’s this super duper hipster music chick. We’re talking deeeeeeeep in the hipster community. She’s the type of cool where hipsters are looking down on other hipsters for not liking her. Hipster on hipster crime. She’s cool in the inner circle of inner circles of cool people. Make sense? Not really but that’s her level of cool. So why is Elon Musk dating her? A guy who is, by all accounts, a total loser? I think we just answered our own question. Elon Musk isn’t cool so he’s dating a perceived cool person to try and be cool by association. He tried to be cool with Amber Heard but she kicked him to the curb cause he stinks.
You might be saying, “Trent, maybe they just like each other. Ever think of that?” Yeah I thought of that but there’s always a reason. Billionaires don’t make any moves without an angle. Elon has been taking L after L after L recently. He needs a W in the worst way. I don’t know if Grimes is the W he thinks it is but, if you’ll recall, he’s a moron. What’s in it for Grimes? Well we’re talking about her. Her platform grows because Elon is world famous. Win-win for both of them. It’s a business relationship.
