Lebron Is Once Again Ridiculous As The Cavs Sweep Toronto
To no one’s surprise, the Cavs have officially swept the Raptors and they did it by about a billion points in Game 4. But during said blowout was the graphic below.
Call me crazy, but it’s probably not great for you when your two best players barely outproduce one guy on the opposing team. I don’t know if this is more embarrassing for Lowry/DeRozan or more impressive for Lebron. It’s not all that shocking when you think about it, you may have seen Lebron’s been doing pretty well this postseason so far
and tonight was just a casual 29/8/11 on 12-19 shooting.
But just think back to that graphic again. Think about how demoralizing that is for those two guys. No wonder Lebron has such a mental edge over the Raptors, he does more himself than their two franchise guys. Lebron is like some crazy vortex where with each team he just absorbs all your best players, matches their production by himself, and then whatever Love and the rest of the guys give is icing on the cake.
Offensively the Cavs shot the ball at an insane clip, finishing with 62.5/47.6% splits. Things were close for about 12 minutes and from then on it was a wrap. It also didn’t help that DeRozan got ejected for this swing at the head of Jordan Clarkson
Between that and the typical Kyle Lowry 2-7 no show, this was a sad way to end what was a disappointing and yet ultimately predictable series for the Raptors. It’s not as if DeRozan has three more years at $27M and Lowry has two more at $30M or anything. Not to mention the two more totaling $44M for Ibaka. People say they should blow it up, but who is lining up to take those contracts? Who knows, maybe next year will be different. And hey, maybe Lebron moves at West!
But like anything involving CLE, the story was Lebron. After looking like things might be shaky against IND, the Lebron enters the Conference Finals for the 8th straight year, which is the the 9th time since the 2006-07 season. On top of that, they look about as tough to beat as ever (for an Eastern Conference team).
Time is a flat circle.
