If Draymond Green Texted Me At 4 A.M. I'd Demand A Trade

[ESPN] – After the Warriors were blown out by the Pelicans in Game 3, Green told ESPN he stayed up watching film. “I can’t sleep when we lose like that,” Green said. Throughout the night, he got so agitated by his team’s performance that he sent Durant a “long-ass text message.”

“I just challenged him to be who he is. I had to tell him,” Green told ESPN. “I didn’t see him attacking or being aggressive enough on both ends of the floor like we need him to be. You know, I don’t hold back. When I see something’s wrong, I have to voice my opinion. There were no hard feelings. We’re just trying to win a ballgame.”

I don’t know who is crazier here; Draymond for texting someone at 4am or Durant for responding? What are you doing sleeping with your phone on like that, especially if you’re an athlete? Well, I guess if you’re Durant that makes sense. You need to know when the next Instagram post or tweet goes up so you can get into account number 493 to respond to someone.

All I know is if Draymond Green texted me at 4am a ‘long-ass text message’ about breaking down film I’d demand a trade on the spot. I’d demand a trade to the Pelicans right then and there so I can attack Draymond right away. I don’t even care if there’s no such thing as past the trade deadline or not being able to switch teams in the playoffs. This is a player’s league and I’d go right to Adam Silver’s office and show him the text message and I’m pretty sure he’d side with me here.

If we’re being honest the only acceptable 4am texts to receive and respond to include:

– ‘You up?”

– ‘Casino?’

That’s really it. I can’t think of another text at 4am that’s worth responding to or sending.
