Scherzer Dominated Again And Bryce Got Back To His Home Run Hitting Ways

Absolute filth. And those 2 earned runs he gave up on a 7th inning homer shouldn’t even have happened, as he should have been out of the game at that point, but it’s ok. I guess giving up 2 earned runs isn’t the end of the world, but it did raise his ERA from 1.62 to 1.79. And he only had 8 strikeouts, which is much different than his usual 10. If he keeps up these lackluster performances he might not win the Cy Young unanimously.

And then at the dish, Bryce Harper, who has been slumping, got back to his old ways from the lead off spot, which was pretty cool. Love Dave Martinez switching it up, and it paying off in spades.

Decent picture. I prefer when the pitcher turns around to watch it, but I respect a pitcher who knows it’s gone and just moves on to the next.

And it’s great to see Trea hitting again. He’s 11 for his last 24, which is so great if he is batting 2nd behind Bryce, who might see some extended time in the leadoff spot.

Little 3 game winning streak for the Nats with Stras on the mound tonight. 14-16 but only 4.5 games out of first and everything coming together, with Murphy coming back soon. Buckle up, my friends.
