Cristiano Ronaldo Scored The Best Goal Of His Career Yesterday

I don’t even know what to say. It was only a matter of time before CR7 got his bicycle kick. And fittingly, it came during a Champions League game, where he seems to elevate his game to a different level. He has scored in 10 straight Champions League games. TEN! 14 goals in total, setting the record for most consecutive champions league games with a goal. I don’t have anything funny to say at all here. I’ve watched this goal 50 times now and I have to change pants every single time. Non-soccer fans might not be aware of how hard this is. As kids, we used to mess around and try this shit off uncontested crosses. Making any contact at all was a massive win, but it never went anywhere near the goal. 99% of the time you whiffed completely.

Growing up, I was a huge fan of Zinedine Zidane (who is now Ronaldo’s coach at Madrid) and I felt that it was a privilege to have witnessed his ability on the field. But surely, to have lived during the time of Ronaldo (and Messi, of course) has been magical indeed.
