Scott Foster's NHL Debut Highlights Taking You Into The Weekend

The man just lived out a dream that so many of us have had and will never have the opportunity to fulfill. Scott Foster went from the beer league’s to hopping in between the pipes in the NHL. And the man pitched a 7-save shutout to boot. Unbelievable moment that he’ll never forget for the rest of his life and I’m sure the hockey community won’t forget for a long ass time.

We talk about it all the time. What if one of these emergency backup goalies actually has to go in and see some real in-game minutes? Could you imagine if some no-name got in the net and just completely dominated? Well that’s what we got to witness last night with Scott Foster. I’m equal parts happy for the guy and jealous as shit that he had an experience that I’ll never have.

But there’s a lesson to be learned in all of this. I doubt Scott Foster woke up yesterday morning and thought that he’d be playing in the National Hockey League. But his number got called and he was there to suit up for the squad. Once he was suited up, I doubt Scott Foster thought to himself that he’d actually get some playing time in the game. But his number got called, he got between the pipes and made more saves in the NHL that 95% of the hockey playing population can ever say they have. So the moral of the story here is treat your weekend like you’re Scott Foster. If an opportunity presents itself, seize the friggin crap out of it.
