Oddsshark presents WINNERS

oddsshark

What a time of year brothers. Opening Day was about as wild and unpredictable as we could have possibly thought. The Final Four kicks off tomorrow down in San Antonio, and the NBA and NHL are entering the stretch run. There’s action all over the place and we are grateful. Grateful for the opportunity to work. Grateful for the chance to pursue our dreams. Grateful that the window to win is wide open. We aren’t just going to climb through that window, we are going to knock the damn thing out of the wall. Let’s get after today and get some WINS. Our friends over at Oddsshark have all the information and tools to make us better bettors. It would be incredibly foolish to not review their matchup pages for any game before placing a bet. Check them out in the link to each game below.

WINNERS:

Pittsburgh Pirates at Detroit Tigers(Pit -121, Total 9)–This game was postponed from yesterday because of a threat of rain that never actually came to pass in Detroit. The weather today is no picnic. It’s 35 degrees right now with a high of 45, and a near 10mph wind blowing. Neither one of these teams are going to be very good this season, but the starting pitching today with Ivan Nova and Jordan Zimmerman is at least capable. Also consider, Pittsburgh took a step back offensively with the trade of McCutcheon, and they were not exactly an electric offense to begin with. This game strikes me as one that probably isn’t all that great to watch, but that total feels simply too high. Let’s take advantage of two decent pitchers facing two bad lineups. THE PICK: UNDER 9

Chicago Cubs at Miami Marlins (CHC-205, Total 8.5)–Yesterday’s Opening Day battle was a little more exciting than necessary thanks to Jon Lester being erratic on the mound. Once the Cubs bullpen came into the game, the Marlins were shut down entirely. The other side of this equation was ugly. The Cubs hit the Marlins pitching and hit them often. I expect a lot more of the same today. First, the Cubs have Kyle Hendricks on the mound, who has been very consistent. He allowed one or no runs in eight of his final sixteen starts in 2017. He also owns an impressive 2.94 career ERA.  The Marlins are trotting out Caleb Smith, who had a 7.71 ERA in 9 games last year for the Yankees. I expect the Cubs to hit him pretty hard. Look, I can’t sit here and say we will have this bet on here every Friday, but realistically, it probably should buy and not rent space in the neighborhood. THE PICK: CUBS RUN LINE (-136)

Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays (BOS -141, Total 7.5)–The Red Sox bullpen absolutely imploded yesterday, surrendering six runs in the bottom of the eight inning to blow a four run lead. I do not expect the same to happen today. The Red Sox looked like the better team by a healthy margin yesterday. David Price is on the mound for the Red Sox, and while some may not like him, he is a hell of a lot better than Blake Snell. The Rays are sending out Snell who last season went 5-7 with a 4.04 ERA. There’s also the benefit of that collapse yesterday driving the price down on the Sox a bit. I love the Red Sox to bounce back here today. THE PICK: RED SOX ML

Bonus Parlay (Over 5.5/1 payout):

Tampa Bay Lightning

Toronto Maple Leafs

Colorado Avalanche

Vegas Golden Knights
