Illinois State Head Coach Dan Mueller Takes A Jab At Wichita State

I can’t stress how much I love this by Dan Muller. I’ve talked about this before, but I’m all the way here for pettiness between coaches, programs, players, I don’t care who it is. It’s what makes the NBA so great and while college basketball doesn’t have free agency, we do have the NCAA Tournament.

That’s why I love this tweet from Dan Muller, just moments after Marshall upset Wichita State. Muller is the head coach of Illinois State – the team that was left out of the NCAA Tournament last year after losing to Wichita State in the MVC finals last year. Muller famously campaigned this summer on Twitter for major conferences to schedule Illinois State, especially since last year they were left out of the tournament due to nonconference scheduling.

Remember, Loyola – the MVC champs this year upset No. 6 Miami yesterday on a late three. This also comes in the same week that Bob Marlin and Will Wade got into it at an NIT game between Louisiana and LSU. Give me more coaches being petty, please.
