Deadline- Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of Norm Macdonald Has a Show, a new talk show fronted by comedian and ex-SNLer Norm Macdonald. He will host, executive produce and co-showrun the show, which will feature sidekick Adam Eget and a celebrity guest. The deal comes as Netflix solidfies its talk show lineup after the run of Chelsea Handler’s Chelsea. It has recently launched shows by David Letterman and Joel McHale, and set up deals with The Daily Show‘s Hasan Minhaj and Michelle Wolf. Lori Jo Hoekstra is executive producer and co-showrunner of Norm Macdonald Has a Show, which is being produced by under Macdonald’s Anchor Spud Productions along with Pygmy Wolf Productions in association with Lionsgate Television, which also is behind McHale’s Netflix show. K.P. Anderson and Daniel Kellison are also executive producers.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Fuck yes. Fantastic news. I went on Mickstape like a month ago when they were taking about their top-20 funniest people ever. I had Norm Macdonald strongly featured on my list. Why? Because he is probably the funniest person on the planet. Not even joking. Everything he does makes me laugh out loud. Nobody is more must-watch on late night television than Norm Macdonald (Kevin Nealon is a close second with Ricky Gervais and pre-scandal Louis CK following behind him). Norm always crushes. His jokes are long journeys that often make no sense at all and I’m always pissing my pants by the end. Nobody makes the host of a late night show laugh more than Norm Macdonald.

So him getting his own show on Netflix makes me very happy. Have a lot of Norm’s shows failed in the past? They sure have. I don’t care. He’s the absolute best. Dirty Work is a masterpiece of a movie and you’re wrong if you disagree. I cannot wait to see what he has in store for a Netflix show. Hopefully they just let him do his thing.

Here are some of my favorite Norm moments
