This Baby Seahorse Has Inspired Me To Drink Less Bottled Water
The blog that shocked the world. I know. It’s hard to believe. The Prince of Poland Spring. The Baron of Bottles. The Pope of Plastic. Yes, me, Eric Nathan, is hereby vowing to make a concerted effort to use fewer plastic water bottles. It’s true, it’s damn true. You see, I’ve always been a pro-environment guy. I’ve always given back to the community. I’ve done Habitat for Humanity multiple times, no big deal, just sayin. But for some reason, I’ve always gone through plastic water bottles like dicks through your mom.
Which brings us to yesterday.
Yesterday I was doing my normal nighttime routine of laying in bed sad and alone and I saw a video about that cute little seahorsey swimmin his cute little seahorsey ass around human trash and decided I would do my part to make sure that lil fella never gets stuck inside one of my bottles.
Then I started reading more about plastic water bottles and thing you knew I decided I don’t need to drink 6-8 different plastic bottles a day. Sure, I like my water room temperature, not cold, so using the water cooler will be an issue for my sensitive teeth. And I’m not saying I’m completely stopping because I’m not that disciplined, I mean I’m still a blogger for Pete’s sake. But maybe I’ll have a 2 bottle rotation going where I drink one, refill it, and by the time I’m done with bottle 2, bottle number 1 is room temp. Or perhaps I’ll just tempt led poisoning and drink out of the faucet. Yeah I know they say NYC tap water is the safest on the planet but I watch the news, I know the pull Big Water has with the fake news media. Or maybe I’ll come up with something I haven’t even thought about, I don’t know, I’m just spit balling here. But I am going to try to cut my water bottle usage in half. But I also vow to continue yelling at Brett every time we don’t have bottles in the office. Because I mean, come on. We’ve been at HQ for nearly 2 years. Let’s at least keep it stocked with water for one entire week. Just one! Now that I’m cutting back, I bet it’ll happen.
Anyway, thank you and god bless. #SaveTheSeaHorses

PS: I’ve made a bunch of New Years resolutions for 2018, mostly because for the last 4 years of blogging I’ve done nothing but blog. I’ve gotten much more unhealthy, sabotaged relationships, stopped trying new things, and I think just kinda became a shittier version of myself than I wanted to become. So this year I wanted to focus on actually living a real life the best I can. So I go to the gym now, I try to leave the apartment on weekends, I’m even thinking about traveling outside of DC and New York…like….going somewhere. On purpose. Really weird concept, I know. And now I can add “using fewer bottles of water” to the resolution list. Still need to meet RG3 this year though, or otherwise it’s all for nothing and at the stroke of midnight in 2019 I’m going to throw so many empty bottles of water and plastic rings into the Hudson it’ll make your head spin.
