Scumbag Alex Burrows Suspended 10 Games for Kneeing Taylor Hall in the Head
“Ottawa Senators forward Alex Burrows has been suspended 10 games by the NHL’s department of player safety for serving as an “aggressor” and then kneeing New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall.
Burrows retaliated to a big hit from Hall by dragging the Devils winger to the ice and then proceeding to target his head with multiple right knees. He was given two minutes for roughing and another two for cross-checking, a power play on which the Devils scored.
The 36-year-old claimed he was trying to get his arm free in his phone hearing with the league on Wednesday. He waived his right to an in-person hearing, hinting that this ban would be for longer than five games.” Via
Does this surprise anyone? Scumbag Alex Burrows suspended 10 games, the longest suspension of the season (tied with a Gudas suspension) for kneeing Taylor Hall the head. Which makes you think…How does that even happen in hockey? How do you knee someone in the head? You have to be a complete and utter scumbag, that’s how.
For a while I felt bad for guys like Burrows and Brad Marchand. I figured they had done some dirty shit early in their career and now they are getting suspended for things players do every game, but boy was I wrong. After Brad Marchand’s recent suspension I kind of had to take a step back and think…..why does this always happen to guys this?
Now – I like Marchy. He’s a great guy off the ice and is 10x the player Burrows is so I don’t want people to think I am comparing them. But holy shit is Alex Burrows a dick. Friend of Spittin’ Chiclets, Patrick O’Sullivan, recently tweeted how Burrows spends the offseason going to other NHL player’s charity events to get guys to like him and they all still hate him.

You must be a real piece of shit if you are donating to guy’s charities and they still hate you. And let’s not forget, this is the same dbag that bit Patrice Bergeron in the Stanley Cup finals in 2011.
Yup, that’s right. A grown man bit another grown man. It’s actually laughable. Hockey players are supposed to be these big tough guys who settle things with their fists, something Burrows is clearly way too soft to do so he resorts to biting and kneeing people. It’s makes me so happy that he’ll loose over 100k in salary for this incident. ($134,408.60 to be exact)
Going back and looking at the actually incident that got Burrows 10 games, it just epitomizes the fact this guy is a dirt ball. The unwritten rules of a hockey are, when it gets taken to the ground you stop. Someone could get hurt. In the end, it’s just a game and no one wants to see anyone get hurt (except Alex Burrows). Taylor Hall literally didn’t do a thing that warranted anyone touching him, let alone Burrows b-lining it over to him and trying to give him a one way ticket to concussion city. And then Burrows takes Hallsy to the ground, ok, it’s over bud. The pointless scrap is done. But nooooo. This piece of shit decides he wants to knee this guy in the head while he is down. In a day where head injuries are taken so seriously, one can only ask, how can you be so stupid Alex Burrows?
