Iowa Press-Citizen- Police say a fight over tangled dog leashes has resulted in an Iowa City man’s arrest. Iowa City police responded at about 7:20 p.m. Sunday to the 1600 block of Aber Ave. for a report that 46-year-old Bruce Steele and an unnamed person were walking their pets when the leashes became entangled, causing a verbal altercation between the two, according to police. Police say, once the leashes were separated, Steele picked up a brick and threw it at the victim. He then grabbed a plastic stick and displayed it in a threatening manner, according to police. Upon contact, Steele admitted to police to throwing the brick at the victim, police say. Steele has been charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Well that escalated quickly. One minute you’re walking your dog on a beautiful Sunday night in Iowa and the next thing you know you’re getting a brick thrown at your face. All because of a little mix up of leashes. This is another reason why dogs are way better than humans. I guarantee when the leashes got mixed up the dogs were super excited. Probably pissing all over the place because they got to interact with another dog. Instant best friends. Smelling each other’s ass holes and licking faces. And while that love fest is happening, the tow humans are cursing each other out and throwing bricks. Shameful. And hopefully the one guy who got the brick thrown at him wasn’t hungover and experiencing any of The Fear. Because if he was there’s a good chance he killed himself before sunrise this morning. Nothing worse then having hang over anxiety and actually having something bad happen to you in real life happen like getting a brick tossed at your head. It’s one thing to be scared and hungover in your house where nobody can get to you. It’s a whole different thing when you decide to venture out into the real world where people are. It’s awful.
