This LeBron Dunk Doesn't Make A Lick Of Sense
As I said in the tweet above, it makes absolutely no sense that a guy who came into the League in 2003 is able to pull off a dunk that requires this much athleticism. It’s truly incomprehensible. LeBron’s head is legitimately behind the backboard when this dunk is flushed. He was able to lower his right arm after he realized he was going to be too far past the basket to use it since he was running too fast on the break and processed all this information in the span of .2 seconds while simultaneously raising his left hand, throwing off his balance, catching s hurling sphere through the air and finishing this play while running 3/4 speed. Quietly the craziest part about LeBron’s athleticism is that we don’t actually know how fast he really is because the court isn’t long enough for him to reach his true top speed, which is honestly terrifying.
The fact that one of the all time minutes leaders a fortnight out from turning 33 is still able to contort his body in such a way that he can finish this dunk is incredible. Throwing a lob to LeBron is the easiest job on the planet. Just throw it anywhere in the same state as the game is being played in and you’re guaranteed to jog back on defense with at least two points.
Also, if you’re of the belief that this could only be pulled off with the assistance of steroids you’re more than entitled to that opinion. And if it’s true then I feel like this is a big win for juice. Barry Bonds hitting balls to Jupiter and LeBron finishing lobs with his torso in the third row are things any fan should want to watch on a nightly basis.
