Sorry But If You Make A Nick Foles Star Wars Hype Video, I Have No Other Choice But To Still Believe In A Super Bowl

I don’t know if it’s because it’s Star Wars week and I’m just fired up to see The Last Jedi. I don’t know if it’s because for the last 36 hours I’ve been searching for any shred of optimism to latch on to as an Eagles fan. But something about this video has me believing again. Obviously Nick Foles isn’t anywhere near the same stratosphere as Carson Wentz. Trying to win a football game by going from Carson Wentz to Nick Foles is like trying to win a race by going from a Corvette to a Honda Accord. The Accord is a serviceable vehicle. It gets you from point A to point B. It’s practical, affordable, dependable. But it’s not a Corvette. But here’s the thing. This specific Honda Accord? Well we’ve seen this Accord become a Corvette before. We’ve seen Nick Foles come in and light the world on fire for a few games before. The pieces are there. 4 wheels, an engine, a steering wheel, whatever other shit goes in there like a carburetor or something (not a car guy). All we need is for this Accord to become a Corvette for 6 games. I know it’s hard to believe but you put some Nick Foles highlights with a Star Wars trailer in the background and all of a sudden anything seems possible.

By the way, if Carson’s injury taught us anything it’s that you never know what’s going to happen.  All I’m saying is the Eagles are in the playoffs. As long as they beat the Giants and Raiders, they’ll have home field advantage. In no way, shape or form am I rooting for any player to get injured. But who knows. Maybe a quarterback has to come to Philly in the playoffs, gets food poisoning on the plane and is shitting his brains out the entire game. Maybe somebody comes down with a common cold and is slower out there than normal. Maybe Nick Foles unleashes his hog and balls out like it’s 2013 again. You never know what’s going to happen, especially when the season comes down to 1 game. The Force is strong with Foles. I can feel it.
