(Also pictured is one of the first casualties of The Process, Nerlens Noel, who still refuses to answer what John Calipari’s hair smells like)

If players who don’t factor anymore in The Process get traded and nobody cares, does it really matter? Well, for a rebounding machine like Trevor Booker comes back in return, I suppose it makes it move a bit.

The Sixers give up Okafor, Stauskas, and a second-rounder for Booker who is making $9.125/year and is an UFA after this season. Not a bad play for either team. The Nets get former third and eight overall picks with a second-rounder and the Sixers get in return a short term, veteran pounder who can contribute off the bench that can be dumped after the season is over. It really is a win-win.

As for Big Jah, The Process failed Jahlil Okafor, and Jahlil Okafor failed The Process. It happens. I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt more than most fans. The kid was put in essentially a no-win situation. Sure, he got into meaningless street fights with random trolls, enjoyed cruising at Light Speed over the Ben Franklin bridge, and his father threatened to smack the shit out of anyone who talks shit on Jah on Twitter. But he’s still only 21-years-old and a 3rd overall pick. He can be a perennial 20 and 10 guy on a team that cares about him. Granted, he personally may give up 40 and 20 a game, but that’s semantics. Jahlil can still be an asset for someone out there, and the Nets took advantage.

As for Stauskas, who Sam Hinkie stole right out of a glory hole of the Kings in one of the great swindles of the times…well…he had a good nickname? Good for him. Except when we put FIRE Sauce Castillo shirts on sale and they immediately got taken down. Not good for him.
