Having Your Leg Give Out During A Diving Competition Is Not Ideal

Classic. Everyone has been there. You’re in the walk-up stage at your diving competition. The entire city is enthralled with off-Olympic year diving like they usually are. People literally can’t get enough diving. You’ve practiced this same dive over and over and over again. It’s your money maker. Your go-to. It’s your high 90s split seamer. The half-twist 1 1/2 flip. You nail it. Splashback? Buddy,,, there isn’t one. You enter that water without even a hiccup in the surface ripples. The water is still smooth as silk. You know it. The judges know it. Most importantly, your competition knows it.

Final round now. You are gonna go to the well one last time. It’ll be like when Lance McCullers threw 24 straight curveballs to close out the AL Pennant.

If they cant hit, they cant hit it. So you go to your half-twist 1 1/2 flip. This time, bad results.

Not good!

You’ll be back next year. No doubt about it.
