Daily Mail- A Russian man has died after posing for a picture with a hand grenade after taking the pin out. Alexander ‘Sasha’ Chechik had sent an image to his friend showing himself holding the grenade moments before it detonated, killing him instantly. Police say that he had sent several images to friends where he posed with the hand grenade and that this indicates that he had not intended to take his own life. He replied: ‘Depends on what OK is in your understanding?’ He sent a picture of the grenade in his hand – with the pin removed. The friend told him: ‘Listen, don’t do stupid things. Where are you?’ As he had also sent pictures to other friends, police have categorised his death as an accident not suicide, according to reports.

He’s dead. Super dead. That’s how that story ends. Blown to bits. Really a, “You only get one” type of situation here. The active grenade selfie is a tough and costly one but the posthumous Likes on Instagram have to be insaaaaaaaaane. He’ll never have a post get more love than this one. Mostly because he’s not gonna post again.

To be fair, this dude is from Russia. You probably already knew that though. The location shouldn’t matter but it absolutely positively matters when talking dumb grenade deaths. If I gave you 100 chances to guess where this happened you would’ve had 98 guesses left over. Your #1 guess would’ve been Florida (which is the correct first instinct to have) and your #2 guess would’ve been Russia. Those are the only two places where a Guy Pulls The Pin Of A Grenade And Then Poses For A Picture story can happen. Here in the States people do stuff like play tennis or racquetball or golf. In Russia, they play grenade. They love playing grenade. Including the, “It wasn’t a suicide” disclaimer in the article was unnecessary. It was clearly just a guy having a good time playing grenade.
