Flashback to nine months ago when the NFL combine was going on. Alvin Kamara, an athletic running back from Tennessee, lit up the field with his blazing speed and agility. He showed off all the tools that were masked at Tennessee by the incompetent Butch Jones. After Kamara made scouts ooh and ahh at his performance, his former teammate/backfield-mate Jalen Hurd’s mother took to Twitter to voice her opinion on young Alvin. Towards the end of the Tennessee season last year, Hurd left the team suddenly amidst turmoil in the locker room. Once Hurd was out of the picture, Kamara stepped in and seized the opportunity. Obviously this didn’t sit well with Hurd and his crazy mother. The same crazy mother that was later arrested a Florida-Tennesssee game for assault. She claimed news would come out soon why Kamara was stuck behind Hurd as if he was this cancer to a team we didn’t know about. Well, things didn’t turn out so well for Tara Smotherman.

Flash forward to now and Alvin Kamara has been the steal of the 2017 NFL Draft after falling to the third round to New Orleans. He’s given the team a two-headed monster with his backfield compadre Mark Ingram. Together they’ve given New Orleans a running game they’ve so desperately wanted for years behind Brees. And for Kamara himself? He’s the clear favorite to win rookie of the year.

I guess teams will have to wait to find out why he was the backup at Tennessee. It DEFINITELY DID NOT have to do with the fact that the most incompetent coach in college football was making the decisions. Nope, no way. I mean look at this guy! What a bum!

Pretty wild he was originally at Bama, but stuck behind Derrick Henry T.J. Yeldon and Kenyon Drake. Now he’s setting the NFL world on fire. Jalen Hurd? He’s transferring to Baylor where he’ll play his final collegiate season next year.
