Blake Bortles Gave Some Heartfelt Advice To Struggling Rookie QB Deshone Kizer, "Try To Throw It To Your Team As Much As Possible"

Blake Bortles: QB Whisperer? He might be onto something here folks. Now if only he could follow this advice himself the Jaguars might be running away with the AFC South. I mean last Sunday Bortles threw not one, but TWO interceptions in the final two minutes while the Jags trailed the Chargers in the 4th quarter. Only the Chargers could figure out how to lose a game when that happened in their favor. It was the first time that ever occurred as far as NFL statisticians could find.

Kizer, like Bortles as a rookie, leads the league in interceptions (12) despite having fewer passing attempts than most of those that trail him. He’s has been extra brutal in the red zone throwing a league high five picks to just four touchdowns. For reference Carson Wentz has tossed 15 scores with zero interceptions this year inside the 20. The Browns having minimal running game or pass protection obviously doesn’t bode well in the rookie’s favor, but a dozen interceptions in eight games isn’t great. I’d imagine with Blake’s fabulous new advice Kizer will turnaround his season and get the Browns a W…or he’ll keep throwing interceptions at will. Probably the latter.

Blake probably should’ve mentioned that throwing to your team doesn’t always lead to good things.
