Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola do Mexico City? The Squirrel vs. The Fox? La Ardilla vs. El Zorro, Mexican wrestling? Plus doing god knows what else? Nightclubs maybe. Shots of tequila. Earthquake relief. Donkey shows. They could be doing anything south of the border save for running afoul of the organized crime down there and you can count me in.
Clearly the NFL Network is realizing, as I do, that Edelman and Amendola are the Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn our time. Funny, good-looking guys with comedic timing and chemistry that cannot be faked. The kind of guys that every man wants to be and every woman wants to be with. So while the Wedding Crashers crew has moved onto making sad movies about kids with birth defects and horrifyingly realistic WWII films, Minitron and Dola and have had the baton passed to them. The best comedy duo in the industry.
Dammit, I miss having a healthy Edelman in the lineup. But if it frees him up for more content like this or his Burger Tyme videos and the Patriots manage to win anyway? That’s a price I’m willing to pay in order to help entertain the world. 10 PM tonight. NFL Network. I am so all over this.
