When All Is Said And Done, We May Never See A Better Shit Talker Than Joel Embiid

We’ve known for quite some time now that Joel Embiid is a prodigy when it comes to shit talk. This isn’t some sort of new development. However, what we saw last night in the Sixers’ 109-105 win over the Clippers was a performance so strong from the Cameroonian Chirp King that it solidifies his position as a 1st ballot Shit Talk Hall of Famer. For starters, I don’t think anybody would blame Willie Reed if he decided to just pack it up and call it a career after this one.

A quick little “whose mans is this” followed up by a vicious choke job. Hard to get more emasculating than that. Only way this could get any worse for Willie Reed is if Embiid got him to foul out and then proclaimed to everybody at the Staples Center that he can’t guard him. Oh… wait.

Poor guy. But at least the chirps ended once the game did, right? I mean it’s one thing to talk shit on a guy on the floor. That’s just gamesmanship. But once the game is over you’d have to imagine everybody would be civilized and hold back on any parting shots, right? Wrong.

And just like that, Willie Reed was never to be heard from again. And if that’s how hard Embiid is going after a backup, let’s see how hard he went after DeAndre Jordan.

Ladies and gentlemen…. there has been a murder.

Gets Reed to foul out. Gets DeAndre Jordan to foul out after putting up a triple-single with 2-0-5. Meanwhile, Embiid had 32 points on the night and 16 rebounds. I’m sure it was fun for everybody in the summer who would love to comment  “relax, he’s only played 31 games in his career, let’s see him back that shit up if he’s ever able to actually stay on the court”. Well, folks, here ya go.

Trust The Process.
