NY Post- Trump’s Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross has been falsely claiming that he’s a billionaire for more than a decade, Forbes alleged in an explosive report.

The 79-year-old dealmaker has long been a fixture on the Forbes 400 list of America’s richest, with his net worth last year pegged by the magazine at $2.9 billion.

But in a blistering report on Tuesday, Forbes said it was “intent on removing him entirely,” as financial disclosure forms he filed after his nomination to President Trump’s cabinet showed less than $700 million in assets.

“It seems clear that Ross lied to us, the latest in an apparent sequence of fibs, exaggerations, omissions, fabrications and whoppers that have been going on with Forbes since 2004,” Forbes’s Dan Alexander wrote Tuesday.

When Forbes challenged Ross, the magazine said the veteran investor contended that he had created trusts for his family worth “more than $2 billion” that weren’t included in the cabinet disclosures, according to the article.

But after “one month of digging,” Forbes said it is now confident that “that money never existed.”

Ha! Wilbur, you old sandbaggin’ son of a bitch! Walking around with his thumbs in his suspenders, saying things like “the second billion was so much tougher than the first.” Probably told his grandkids he had $500 million for each of them so long as they stayed out of prison. Meanwhile, he’s only worth $700 million instead of the $2.9 billion he claimed! What a pirate! That’s 76% less than his reported net worth! As Dave would say, you’re a bum Wilbur. A bum.

What the hell is going on over at Forbes though? “The latest in an apparent sequence of fibs, exaggerations, omissions, fabrications, and whoppers that have been going on with Forbes since 2004.” Don’t you guys have a fact-checking team? Do your fucking research, morons. We trust you guys to tell us how rich people are. Stop letting these “whoppers” happen! You’re a respected financial publication! How many of the billionaires on your list just told you they were worth multiple billions, and you took their word for it like Wilbur Ross? You’ve lost the public trust. You could learn a thing or two from “celebrity net worth,” a fact-checked, reliable source for knowing what Seth Rogen’s got in his piggybank.

I plug Gary Gulman a lot, but this is really one of the best standup bits I’ve ever heard.
