Ravens-Titans "Joe Flacco Has Never Lost A Game After A Concussion" Live Blog

Huge HUGE game for both the Ravens and Titans today. The Ravens come into this one sitting at 4-4 with the bye week on the horizon. It may just seem like one game, but the difference between staring down the 2nd half of the season at 5-4 vs 4-5 is so massive. At 4-5 you know you pretty much have to play perfect football the rest of the year and the division is as good as gone. At 5-4 you’re in the driver’s seat in the wild card race with a strong 5-2 conference record and a big win over another team that will likely be in the mix late.

Although they’re still banged up and missing guys, this is just about as healthy as the Ravens have been in weeks. I’m not the least bit worried about Joe Flacco shaking off any cobwebs from last week’s concussion. The guy has battled and overcome numerous injuries over the years and he always toughs it out. With Maclin and Wallace finally both healthy, he should be able to take a few shots deep. That, of course, will need to be set up by a good 25 carries from my man Alex Collins. It’s time to stop splitting carries among these backs and ride on his back. Superstar in the making.

Like any other week, the Ravens will only go as far as the offense will take them. The Titans have some nice pieces offensively, but I expect our defense to do a knock-up job and keep them inside 20 points. Don’t need the offense to light it up, just need to score a couple TD’s and put together some clock-eating drives. Run early, run often, and finish drives. Easier said than done on the road against a pretty solid Titans squad and I’m not crazy about how we’ve played on the road in recent years. Hopefully they can steal one like they did in Oakland and keep this train moving forward after last week’s blowout win. Need the mo going into the bye. Let’s go.
