If Game 7 Wasn't Big Enough Already, Tonight Could Be Tommy Lasorda's Last Night On Earth
What a night. Game 7, the sweetest words in all of sports. All the nerves, all the anticipation, all the hype, and that’s before we even start talking about Tommy Lasorda’s suicide threat to the Dodgers before the postseason began.
Now let’s be clear, I don’t actually think Tommy is going to kill himself if the Dodgers lose tonight….BUT, I absolutely think a Game 7 loss will kill him. Old people can’t take that type of trauma. This would be like falling down the stairs or taking away his license or telling him he can’t eat ice cream anymore. What’s the point of even living life without those things? So good luck Dodgers, a man’s life is on the line, no pressure or anything but you hold his fate in your hands, you are God for one night, again no pressure.

As scary as Tommy killing himself is in the event of a Dodgers loss is, the idea of a drunk Tommy Lasorda on an open television microphone makes the risk totally worth it.
