Aroldis Chapman Getting Drilled In The Face Is Some Scary Stuff

SURPRISE, Ariz. — Cincinnati Reds closer Aroldis Chapman suffered a fracture above his left eye after he was hit by a line drive off the bat of Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez in the sixth inning of Wednesday’s spring training game.

Chapman didn’t lose consciousness, Reds manager Bryan Price said, as he was taken off the field on a cart and transported to Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City, where tests indicated fractures above his left eye and nose. He will undergo further testing. He will be kept there overnight for observation.

Yiiikes. Scary scary stuff. That sound the ball made hitting his face is FUCKED up stuff. Kind of one of those reality check moments. Like I sort of tweaked my ankle coming off a curb on Saturday but at least my face isn’t fractured and my eyeball dislocated from my body. I’ll just go ahead and shut up now.

I’m not saying Aroldis Chapman making fun of Sammy Sosa had anything to do with this but I also can not confirm that Sammy is now a witch with real life spells. Everything is in play.
