Cubs At Nationals - Here We Goooooooo - Game 1 Live Blog

Well here we are, folks. ALDS time. The reigning World Series champion Chicago Cubs vs your always the bridesmaid, never the bride Washington Nationals. Stephen Strasburg is on the mound for the good guys tonight, just like he should have bee….nah, never mind. Doesn’t matter. Don’t need to think about the past. As a wise woman named Elsa once said, let it go, let it go. New year, new team, even stronger #Natitude. The lineup top to bottom is ridiculous. The Nats have the strongest 1-2-3 rotation punch in the majors. And Bryce is back, healthy (healthy enough), and ready to go. Baseball playoffs are sick because all the teams are so good, especially when you have the Cubs who were incredible in the 2nd half of the season vs the Nats who I would argue, when healthy, were the best team in baseball this year.

Max Scherzer, recently heard on Pardon My Take, has promised that he will pitch in the NLDS. If Strasburg and the boys pull out a victory today, it takes a lot of pressure off rushing Max back, and they can even wait til game 3 to put him on the bump. Having that sort of depth at starting pitcher is so important in the playoffs, and the Nats have depth like no other team.
