I Hope Trent Richardson Resurrects His Career, Mostly For The Funny Pictures

SI - NFL washout Trent Richardson has signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League, the team announced Tuesday.

Richardson, who last played in the NFL for the Colts in 2014, had negotiated a deal with the Riders in August but ultimately decided against signing with the team. 

Richardson, the third pick in the 2012 draft, was infamously traded by the Browns to the Colts for a first-round pick in 2013. (The Browns flipped that pick and a third-rounder for Johnny Manziel.)

Richardson averaged just 3.1 yards per carry in 29 games for the Colts over two seasons and scored just seven touchdowns.

Let me say this: I love Trent Richardson. He was one of a kind.

Always working for the extra yards, instead of taking freebies. A real blue collar running back, if you will. Unfortunately, coaches prefer RBs that “hit holes” and not “run into tacklers”, which is what ultimately led to his demise.

But I’m still team TRich. I’m rooting for him to get back into the league. Mostly because I can’t stop laughing at pictures like this:

Just no vision or instincts whatsoever. Mr. Magoo out there pounding the rock. But I still have hope. There’s a reason the Colts gave up a 1st round pick for him (because they are idiots).

So good luck to our pal Trent Richardson. At worst, he better provide more funny pictures like the ones in this blog, because I haven’t stopped laughing all morning. Just run through the hole, Trent! It’s right there!
